The Compassionate Touch Of Shiatsu

The Compassionate Touch Of Shiatsu

THE COMPASSIONATE TOUCH OF SHIATSU  by Sarah Churcher ( Ds/Mrss)

You may want help releasing pain in your back, shoulders or neck, or achy limbs or muscles, and are searching for some help. Well then shiatsu can help you.

Working lightly or deeply depending what you want and need, my hands are guided by your body to release held areas, along energy lines, (meridians), energy systems and points on and into the body. There may be some stretches used, to help unravel and release stuck areas, but never any forcing, just an unwinding happening, slowly, gently with each breath.

Releasing muscular issues, supporting skeletal structure and joints and tuning in with your energy, and hearing where you are at emotionally is all part of a shiatsu treatment. A softer focus and relaxed feeling in your body can arise when having shiatsu. As though all of you is landing home in yourself, connecting up with your energy (Ki), in a mindful way, flowing.  Shiatsu supports your body, soul, mind and spirit ( heart) working together.

Shiatsu works on all levels, physical and emotional . Supporting you with any feelings you may have such as, fear, frustration, pain, loss or confusion, along with hopes and joys and wants in life. The sessions provide a place to come to and take a look whats going on or explore your feelings and give it voice if that feels right for you. There is never any pressure for you to go into anything unless you want to. Giving yourself some space to be heard is a powerful thing, as is giving yourself time to be with your body and caring for it. To let in the touch of safe hands meeting you, where you could benefit from support, remembering to soften, breath and be with yourself in a fuller accepting way.

This style of bodywork is received fully clothed, it is not massage. It is experienced on a comfortable futon mat, though a massage table can be used if you are needing this due to mobility issues. Chinese medicine diagnosis is used to help the practitioner support the flow of your energy within you.

The sessions held are with respect and are totally confidential, a safe place to share in, where all of you is welcome.

Treatments can work alongside any medication you may be taking.
