Have you tried CBD Oil Massage?

We all lead hectic lives and need to take time to relax and heal ourselves.

One of our newest treatments at the Centre for Integral Health is massage using CBD, or Cannabidiol, oil which is derived from the cannabis plant.

But what are the benefits of CBD oil...not to mention its legality?

The oil has become highly popular recently and we can reassure you it is most definitely legal.

CBD is derived from cannabis, but doesn’t contain THC, the chemical that gets you high.

To be legal in the UK, the oil must contain no more than 0.2 per cent THC, and the THC must not be easily separated from it.

“It can reduce anxiety, help relaxation and a good night’s sleep and reduce pain perception. There is no chance of it making you high, the feeling most often associated with cannabis but it has a range of health benefits,” said Amanda, who is also a yoga instructor and Reiki Master.

CBD oil is often taken by applying a few drops under your tongue, holding it in your mouth for a few moments so it is absorbed. It can also be added to water or smoothies.

“I use it in massage techniques,” said Amanda. “It is very effective. CBD is helpful for relieving inflammation and pain and it is also good for relaxation and reduction of anxiety and stress.

“My clients notice a real difference in how they feel when they have a massage using CBD oil. It is definitely worth having a normal massage and then comparing how you feel with a CBD oil massage. You might find you never go back!”
