Giving a gift that makes a difference......

Giving a gift that makes a difference......

We know that trying something new can be nerve-wracking - and no matter how much you have heard, or been told, about a class, taking the first step into that room can be an easier experience with a friend in tow….

And that is why our wonderful Tanya, a practitioner here at the centre, is offering a free yoga class to all of those who buy a friend or family member a voucher for a yoga session - allowing you to go along with them!

Tanya is also offering a free mini treatment to the person buying a massage, reflexology or reiki session for friends or family members - meaning you can try it first to let them know what it will be like!

Tanya says: “Giving someone the gift of an experience this Christmas is such a lovely thing to do but I know it can be a big step for someone to come along alone so I wanted to do something that would allow friends to come together.

“I know this year lots of people are trying to cut down on unnecessary gifts and unnecessary wrapping paper so the gift of a treatment or the chance to try something new is one that will be on a lot of people’s minds.

“Making it something friends and family can do together only makes it more special.”

Yoga

Vinyasa Flow Yoga is the synchronisation of breath and movement in a sequence which flows from one asana/posture into the next. As yoga’s popularity has grown in the West so too has the understanding that not all bodies are the same and trying to force one’s body in to a specific shape can often result in injury and so yoga has begun to evolve into a more embodied practice of knowing one’s own body and how to move it safely and mindfully.

Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

Massage

Massage therapy is manual manipulation of soft body tissues (muscle, connective tissue, tendons and ligaments) to enhance a person’s health and well-being. People seek massage therapy for a variety of reasons to reduce stress and anxiety, relax muscles, rehabilitate injuries, reduce pain, and promote overall health and wellness.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a form of complementary therapy based on ancient techniques, which involves gentle massage to parts of the feet and hands, in areas called reflex zones, with the aim of releasing tension and promoting relaxation. This, in turn, can help bring balance to the mind and body and can help promote a sense of well-being.

Meridian Energetics

Meridian Energetics is a highly developed healing modality based on the 12 chakra system which works on the etheric body. The etheric body is an exact energetic blueprint of the physical body. It is the energy body which surrounds the physical body. Meridian Energetics works on the etheric body to restore balance and harmony, balancing the yin/yang aspects and the masculine/feminine energy.
